Mariana 2010 Sauvignon Blanc

The Mariana 2010 Sauvignon Blanc was produced in the Northern region of Mendocino. This AVA (or appellation) has a very particular terroir influenced by the Pacific Ocean. The cool and cold climate is ideal for producing whites with great acidity and flavors. Sauvignon Blanc is widely represented in the world, as it is one of the most resilient varietals, which adapts itself to all sorts of situations. The Mariana Sauvignon Blanc is 100% from the varietal.

Very true to the varietal, the light robe lets you dive into many layers of flavors like citrus, bergamot (pronounced bur-gah-mot), candy and lime. The cool weather in Mendocino really shows its quality in the mouthfeel. Great round and balance, the mouth does provide a hint of sweetness, spice on a medium body. This wine will be great for this summer or the next. Enjoy it with many cheeses, fishes or chicken dishes but nothing too spicy that will take away the refined aromas of this wine. Try the featured recipe of Chipotle Lime Tuna on the back, which will pair well with the citrus notes already in the wines.
