The 2011 Revel White Knight’s Blend was produced in Lodi, north of the California Central Valley. French Colombard was used as a base for the wine. Known in France simply as Colombard, it plays an important role in the distillation of Spirits like Cognac and Armagnac. The French Colombard made its way in Australia, Israel, Mexico, California and Texas for its great aromatic qualities. It is known to produce a good amount of grapes per vine, with a medium acidity and a low alcohol. This wine should be consumed within two years of release.

The 2011 Revel White Knight’s Blend displays hints of white floral and citrus flavors. The primary nose turns into an abundance of fruity aromas like watermelon and cantaloupe. The mouth is complex with a blend of sweetness and spice. The clean lines and structure of this wine makes it a perfect everyday wine with the possibility of rising to the occasion at many special events. Seafood and fish dishes, Chinese food, white sauce pasta, Caesar or Cobb salads and Feta or Ricotta cheeses are all good pairings for this wine.
